2009 - 2010 Outdoor Courts
We have 33 beautiful tennis courts throughout the Park District.Park cards and tennis permits are required to play.
Tennis Stickers
- Stickers and coupons to play tennis are purchased at Great Neck House.
- Residents need a tennis sticker or guest coupon to play at all courts in the Park District.
- Season stickers are $68 for adults and $58 for seniors.
- Guest coupons adult resident book is $22 and a 4 coupon senior resident book is $18.
- The season begins on or about May 1st (weather permitting) and runs through October (weather permitting).
Parkwood Tennis Center
Children’s Lessons are designed to provide expert instruction by experienced pros. Classes are available from beginner to advanced and are held 7 days a week at a variety of times. Class size is limited to 4 players. The session is 14-weeks with 1-hour classes. In order to determine student placement, a tryout may be required.
Tint Tots (4-6 years old) classes will introduce tennis to tots. It’s never too early to start playing tennis! The instructors will work on hand/eye coordination, swinging, timing and contact with the ball. There is 1 half hour session per week.
Mini Camp is composed of 5-day programs, which run during school holiday vacations. December camp offers a full day of Tennis & Skate Camp or a Tennis Camp which runs 3 hours a day. The tennis camps include instruction, matches and games.
Adult Lessons are offered 7 days a week with a valid variety of times and playing levels – from beginner to advanced. There are not more than 4 students of comparable level per class. Special classes for seniors are available.
Women’s Intensive Training Program is open to all levels of players, from beginner to advance, who wish to combine strategy sessions with team competition. All new members must have a tryout with our head pro. Team practices and matches are then scheduled.
