Great Neck Park District Residency
The following is a list of the basic requirements which must be met to prove Park District Residency. Further proof may be required.


The following areas are NOT in the Park District: Great Neck Estates, Harbor Hills, Lake Success, Saddle Rock and University Gardens.

For all other areas or to check if your individual address is in the Park District, please call Great Neck House at 482-0355 during registration department hours

Obtaining a Park Card: (New Applicants)
Registration department staff will verify residency using various approved software  and listings available.

If your name and correct address appears in these listing you will need to show an official photo ID and one piece of official mail.

If you do not have official photo ID. You must show  two pieces of official mail.

If your name does not appear on one of the approved listings:

You must show official photo ID and two pieces of official mail.

If you do not have official photo ID you still must provide two pieces of official mail and your park card will be mailed to the address on file.

Children’s Park Cards (Under the age of 16):
A parent must have a valid park card and provide us with a birth certificate for his/her child or children.

A guardian must have a valid park card and provide us with a guardianship papers for his/her child or children.

Renewals:

Renewal notifications notifying you to renew your park card will be mailed to you if your address is able to be verified at the time of renewal.

When you come in to renew either bring your old park card or your renewal notice. With either of these forms you will have to show a current official ID.

If you do not receive a notification please follow directions under obtaining a park card.

Official ID Explained:
Driver’s license, non-drivers ID card issued through DMV, school ID, Military ID, employment ID, Credit Card with Picture, or any other official ID which includes photo and name.

Official Mail Explained:

Official mail can be utility bills: telephone, electric, gas, cablevision, oil etc. Examples of non-utility official mail: bank statements, credit card statements, income tax returns, insurance bills, Department of Motor Vehicles, Doctor bills, property tax bill, cancelled rent check (with address imprinted), deed, etc. No personal (handwritten) or junk/mass mail will be accepted.

Lost Cards:
There is a $10 fee for lost cards please bring in Valid ID or 2 pieces of official mail to obtain a replacement card.

If you move, even if you are still within the park district, you will be considered a new applicant.
