Great Neck House Winter/Spring Adult Classes

General Information: Classes begin the week of February 26th and end the week of June 4th. Course registration is on a first come, first served basis during regular registration department hours. If you don’t see a class that meets your requirements please see our facility director about trying to coordinate another class. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday classes run for 14 weeks, Thursday and Friday classes 13 weeks.

Get your cardio workout without pounding your joints. Followed with weights, core exercises and stretching. You will be more fit, feel energized.

As you get older, do you find you can't do as much as you used to? Muscles begin to atrophy, resulting in weakened bones, recurring backache. Prevent these problems with regular exercise. The goal of this class is to keep a pain-free lifestyle.

Adding yoga and Pilates to your workout routine can increase your strength and flexibility.

Tai chi is a noncompetitive, self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion. Tai chi is low impact and puts minimal stress on muscles and joints, making it generally safe for all ages and fitness levels.
