Great Neck House Youth Classes Summer

Summer – 2017


General Information: Classes begin the week of June 26th. Course registration is on a first come, first served basis during regular registration department hours or online. Parents are required to stay for all children’s classes except classes indicated.  If you don’t see a class that meets your requirements please see our facility director about trying to coordinate another class. Children's classes run from 7-8 weeks, Adult classes 9-11 weeks. No classes July 4th

Kids in the Kitchen    (register online: [Computer]  [Mobile Device])


Cooking, math, science, reading, and history--all mixed up into one pot of fun! In Kids in the Kitchen, your child will learn to make: cookies, bread, brownies, Fruit Kabobs, muffins, pizza, salads and more! Teaches children safety, nutrition, cleanliness, measuring and use of equipment. Come join the fun. (All ingredients are kosher)

Anything can be hand built by you. We will show you how. Begin by pulling the clay, building your piece, to cleaning and glazing it. The sparkling results will amaze you! Children ages 3.5 and up.

Designed for children 18 months to 3 years of age who have never been to school.  Introduction to learning skills such as basic math, reading and more.

Gymnastics/Tumble    (register online: [Computer]  [Mobile Device])


Learn Gymnastics skills in a friendly environment that encourages movement and motivation. Students will learn to stretch, tumble, balance beam, hand
stands, cart wheels and basic vault. Students should wear comfortable clothes.
